Macbeth Coursework – Writing a conclusion

17 May

Hello Year 10.

A couple of you have emailed about your conclusions. I didn’t spend too much time on this in class due to the short amount of time we had with each other before you disappeared on work experience.

Your conclusion should sum up your answer. Don’t repeat yourself at length, but draw together the strands of your essay, showing you have answered the question. Remember the focus of the essay – Macbeth’s response. I would also focus on the audience reaction to Macbeth in this scene. Think about an Elizabethan audience,  not just a modern audience in 2009.

Your conclusion might also be a good place to mention a little about the ‘great chain of being’, but be careful how you use it.

If you want to email me your efforts and have me cast my eye over them, then please do!
Mr Neville
