when we have finished do we print it out?

    • mrnevilleenglish May 25, 2009 at 9:18 pm #

Yes please Muna, if you can. If you’re struggling to print it out, make sure you’ve got it ready to print out on your first day back. The best thing to do would be to have it on memory stick or email it to yourself.

HI SIR THE WORK YOU HAVE SET CAN YOU ADD SOME TEXT??

    • mrnevilleenglish May 28, 2009 at 2:11 pm #

You can add sub-headings and a main heading, but you cannot write any of your own text. You must stick to the text given to you. This is the text from the second main box, not the first. I’ve pasted it below to make sure you’re using the right text:

“If you’ve got worries or need some advice, There4me.com can help. The site is for all 12-16 year-olds living in the British Isles. It’s to help you find solutions to your problems.

There’s on-screen advice about all sorts of things…bullying, relationships, exams, drugs, difficulties at home, to name just a few. Or you can send an e-letter to Sam, our agony aunt. If you’d prefer a confidential private session, you can talk 1-2-1 in ‘real time’ with an NSPCC adviser, or e-mail for reply within 24 hours. You don’t have to say who you are – you stay in control.”

Having said that, you can move text around, put it under different sub-headings etc. In terms of manipulation, you are free to do whatever you think will make the poster effective. But you cannot add any text of your own.

      Hope this answers your question.

Hi sir, me nd Pooja haven’t got any programs on our computers where we can design our posters, apart from the really old microsoft word, so which programme should we make it on?

    • mrnevilleenglish June 1, 2009 at 5:43 pm #

If there is absolutely no way for you to produce the poster on a computer then I suggest you produce a rough version of what your poster would look like, but do it on A3. I expect to see notes included on colour, font, heading, pictures etc. You needn’t make a fantastic job of colour all over your poster, but your sketched design should be a clear indication of what you want your final computer-produced piece to look like.

It would have been very useful if you’d told me this information when I asked if anyone had any problems producing the poster on home computers.

Yes Dharini. Make sure you have it with you ready to print on Tuesday. Or, you could print it out tomorrow ready for Tuesday’s lesson. You should have your PUK code now, so this shouldn’t be a problem.
